Two HTG Architects Projects Named Top Projects

Minneapolis, Minnesota, Phoenix, Arizona and Tampa, Florida – August 11, 2009

HTG Architects, an architectural firm with offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Phoenix, Arizona, and Tampa, Florida, is pleased to announce that Finance and Commerce has named two of its projects, the Dakotah! Ice Center in Prior Lake, Minnesota and the United Prairie Bank in Mankato, Minnesota as Top Projects for 2008.Both the Dakotah! Ice Center and the United Prairie Bank were honored at a reception hosted by Finance & Commerce on July 16, 2009 at the Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis. The two projects were among several projects awarded the honor by the program, now in its second year.

The Dakotah! Ice Center is a 63,000 square foot addition to the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s Dakoth! Sport & Fitness facility. The new ice arena features a 32,000 square foot green roof with a skylight system. The arena features stadium seating for up to 1,000 fans, as well as numerous sustainable design features throughout. The project was constructed by general contractor Shingobee Builders, Inc.

United Prairie Bank’s new headquarters facility in Mankato, Minnesota is a 29,350 square foot, three-story building. Each of the building’s three floors are home to specific bank operations with a first floor retail banking space featuring concierge-style banking services, a second floor operations and call center space with the third floor space for the bank’s holding company. The general contractor for the project was Shingobee Builders, Inc.
